Working with us

Whilst the hand crafted nature of our work attracts international brands, it is our production capability and reliable delivery that retains them as clients.

Over the last nine years, we have repeatedly produced and delivered hundreds of collections for some of the world’s leading fashion houses.

Sampling

We find that regular and open communication with our clients leads to the strongest designs. We like to meet via Skype or Google Chat to hear proposals and offer our interpretations. When the designs are clearly defined, we move on to produce samples.

Once you receive the samples and we have made any necessary amendments, we finalise the designs for production.

It is during this sampling process that we establish the lead times for production and issue a Quote.

The dispatch date is confirmed upon receipt of the Purchase Order (PO).

Production

We consistently produce and deliver over 100,000 accessories per year for some of the best-known luxury fashion houses in the world.

Our Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) is 250 units per style with a minimum of 3 styles per order. Aside from the benefits to the economy of scale, this MOQ also ensures that we have adequate training and investment to produce to international quality standards.

Ordering

Your PO should be clearly written on a company letterhead and sent to:
Accounts Department
Ethical Fashion Artisans EPZ Limited
Capital Industrial Park
Export Processing Zone
Athi River, Kenya

Please include the following details:

  • Date
  • PO number
  • Unit styles
  • Unit quantities
  • Unit prices
  • Method of shipping with shipping address

Upon receiving your PO, we send you an Invoice. We then request that you pay 70% of the invoiced amount to confirm your order. It is an important part of our mandate for social and ethical responsibility to ensure our suppliers are paid on time.

The 30% balance is payable within 10 days of dispatch. Any delays in receiving the balance of payment will incur a 10% monthly interest charge.

As we work with communities and artisans, we are not able to offer any credit facilities.

Delivery

Artisan Fashion is able to organise delivery by air and sea to anywhere in the world. We work with most of the world’s recognised freight forwarders, including DHL, UPS, FedEx, Speedlink, TNT and Damco.

Should you have a favoured freight forwarder, we’ll need your courier agent, account number and a letter of authorisation for dispatch. We’ll then arrange all the necessary paperwork for your chosen forwarder to collect the freight. Once the goods have left our production hub it becomes the responsibility of the customer and the forwarder to ensure safe delivery.

Trade Agreements

Some of our clients are able to eliminate import duties completely. Kenya has many preferential trade agreements around the world.

If you are based in the USA you are able to import free of duty under the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA), and elsewhere in the world you’ll enjoy preferential terms under the General Systems Preferences (GSP).
